The Firm

Rothschild & Pearl, LLP, was recently formed by Alan H. Rothschild and Michael R. Pearl, two former partners of their predecessor law firm, Rothschild, Himmelfarb, Sher & Pearl, LLP.  Rothschild & Pearl, LLP has offices at 245 Main St, Suite 330, White Plains, New York.  Messrs. Rothschild and Pearl have each practiced law for more than twenty-five years, and have each achieved the lofty “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell - a rating which “reflects an attorney who has reached the heights of professional excellence... and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity”.

The partners of Rothschild & Pearl, LLP have extensive experience in each of these areas of emphasis.  In the commercial area, the partners represent many companies in diverse enterprises as “general counsel”, as well as clients involved in specific transactions such as the sale and purchase of businesses, equipment leasing and asset based financing.   In the real estate area, the partners represent buyers and sellers of all types of property, and developers of single family subdivisions, multifamily housing, office buildings and hotels, throughout the New York Metropolitan Area. The partners have represented both lenders and borrowers in all aspects of financing real estate properties, often using their creative talents to solve difficult financing problems.  The firm has most recently begun representing entities formed for the purpose of securing "mezzanine financing" for companies planning an eventual public offering. 

As a member of his predecessor firm, Alan H. Rothschild was among the first to represent tenants and landlords in the conversion of apartment housing complexes to cooperative or condominium ownership in the Westchester County area.  This led the to the partners’ representation  of many and various community associations, which continues to date. 

In the tax certiorari area, Michael R. Pearl continues his long history of success in this highly specialized field of practice.  Through his efforts in prosecuting proceedings to challenge real estate tax assessments, Mr. Pearl has obtained millions of dollars in tax refunds for his clients over the years.
